Ali Gharavi, MD, received $4,720,647 over five years from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).

The Columbia PCC for CureGN: The Cure Glomerulonephropathy Network (link is external and opens in a new window).

Dr. Gharavi was the lead investigator for one of the multisites for the foundational CureGN, a five-year cohort study of 2400 patients with glomerular diseases funded by the NIDDK.  This new grant will build upon the foundational work done previously by CureGN to study these rare diseases of the kidney.

Columbia University will perform the sequencing and genomic data analysis for the entire CureGN cohort.
